Get a PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) blood test at VRX Diagno Lounge, Goregaon West the standard screening marker for prostate health, used to detect benign enlargement, prostatitis, and prostate cancer in men typically over 50 (or 40+ with family history). No fasting needed. Confidential, pathologist-reviewed report. 24×7 home collection.
Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) is a glycoprotein produced by prostate cells. Levels rise with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), prostatitis, recent prostate examination or activity, and prostate cancer. Total PSA above 4 ng/mL warrants further evaluation. The Free-to-Total PSA ratio helps distinguish benign from malignant causes when total PSA is in the grey zone (4–10 ng/mL). Used for routine screening in men 50+ (40+ with family history).
Persistent PSA above 4 ng/mL or rising trend prompts urology review and possible biopsy
Common in men over 60 modest PSA rise alongside urinary symptoms
Inflammation can transiently raise PSA significantly
Tracks response after surgery, radiotherapy, or hormone therapy for prostate cancer
Used to monitor low-risk localised prostate cancer not yet on treatment
Men with first-degree relatives diagnosed with prostate cancer
Annual screening alongside digital rectal exam
Earlier screening if father or brother had prostate cancer
Frequent or weak urination, hesitancy, nocturia
Especially with urinary or sexual dysfunction
Routine PSA follow-up after surgery or radiotherapy
Quarterly PSA in low-risk prostate cancer monitoring
Differentiates infection from BPH/cancer
Before any urological procedure
| Parameter | What It Measures | Reference Range |
|---|---|---|
| 40–49 years | Age-specific upper limit | < 2.5 ng/mL |
| 50–59 years | Age-specific upper limit | < 3.5 ng/mL |
| 60–69 years | Age-specific upper limit | < 4.5 ng/mL |
| 70+ years | Age-specific upper limit | < 6.5 ng/mL |
| Grey Zone | Free-PSA ratio helps clarify | 4–10 ng/mL |
| Free / Total PSA Ratio | Higher ratio favours benign | > 25% likely benign |
Age-appropriate PSA with no symptoms is reassuring. Annual screening continues based on risk. Continue routine yearly screening if you have risk factors.
PSA above the age-specific cut-off, or rising over time, warrants urology referral. Free/Total ratio and prostate MRI help refine risk before biopsy. Your physician will correlate with symptoms and history.
Every report is reviewed by an experienced pathologist with clear interpretation and clinical comment.

Truly appreciated the personal attention and professional approach during my aqua therapy sessions. The physiotherapist explained everything clearly. Highly recommended for anyone needing supervised pool-based rehab.
Started here after my knee surgery on my doctor's recommendation. The 1-on-1 sessions made a real difference and the team was supportive and patient throughout my recovery process. Worth every visit.
My mother has been visiting VRX Goregaon for arthritis-related sessions. The staff is patient, the centre is clean and well-maintained, and the pricing is transparent exactly what we were looking for.
Detailed initial consultation, no rushed appointments. The aqua therapy approach felt much gentler on my joints than regular gym workouts. Will continue here for the foreseeable future.
Easy to book, professional team, and a well-maintained therapy pool. I felt reassured by the close supervision throughout each session. Worth the visit if you need supervised aqua therapy in Mumbai.
Have visited multiple physio centres, but the depth of attention at VRX is genuinely different. They actually adapt the plan as you progress instead of giving everyone the same routine.
